Power Line Carrier Communication (PLC), is a method by making use of the power line network as a transmission medium, which can realize data transfer and information exchange. Since the power line network was originally designed not for communication, in which high-speed data network of reliable, secure communication is very difficult.Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) technology for its simple structure, noise immunity and resistance to multipath interference, high bandwidth utilization and low cost, for us to achieve high-speed data transmission using PLC provides a very effective solution. Meanwhile, OFDM technology as a modulation technique itself inherent problems to be solved, such as the great impact on the system PAPR problem and synchronization issues. Therefore, OFDM and its application in low voltage power line in-depth study has very important practical significance.This article discusses the PLC's basic principles and development status, analyzed as a medium to communicate the advantages and the practical application of the technical difficulties, low-voltage power line OFDM Communication System, mainly to the sending end and receiving end of each module of the working principle introduced. On OFDM technology proposed, the basic idea, the basic principle, implementation method, the main applications, performance characteristics of a more comprehensive analysis.New algorithm has been proposed ,which can maintain the performance advantages of the existing algorithms in terms of its limited improvements among the complexity of OFDM systems, computation and performance trade-offs, and ultimately achieve without increasing the calculation under the premise of the purpose of achieving optimal performance. Through the simulation algorithm performance we found that this algorithm can keep in SLM algorithm and RCF algorithm based on the advantage of, further effectively reduced OFDM signal, and not exacerbate system PAPR other aspects of performance. Compared to pure improvement SLM and limiting of the method of combining, improved distortion SLM method can solve peak to increase again and out-of-band interference problems, which can guarantee bring no system BER loss, nor give system too much burden. The results show that the improved distortion while maintaining system performance and PAPR improvement is very effective.
