The promotion of IPv6 is imperative, when the network users are more and more, but IPv4 addresses are less and less. Meanwhile, Peer-to-Peer (P2P) network is well known for focusing on making full use of Intelnet potential resources. In the new network environment IPv6,the question of how to use IPv6-related features to optimize the P2P network technology has aroused the concern of researchers.Based on IPv6, this paper presents a Dynamic Multi-Layer Chord model, its short name is DML-Chord. DML-Chord is a logical overlay network, including topology matching layer and network routing layer. Based on IPv6's address aggregation, it constructs topology matching layer freely based on physical topology. This solves the Detour problem of Chord, caused by topology mismatch. Meanwhile, by the using of layered agent nodes, and let them take more storage and routing tasks, it helps to reduce system storage costs and improve Chord by taking heterogeneous into consideration. Last, in the network routing layer, we use level routing algorithms to improve the efficiency of the whole model. Theoretical analysis and simulation experiment results show that, this model can reduce storage costs and short routing hops and delays, while compared with Chord.
