The Design And Implement Of Client Software For The Distributed Storage Management Prototype System

In recent years, with the development of the Internet and information technolog-y, the data of the enterprise customers became so large that the requirements of the data storage management for the enterprise storage systems are increasing, however, the traditional data storage system has been far unable to meet the massive data reliability, scalability, storage management needs.Therefore, the data storage management system based on cloud computing storage services has become one of the important technical means to solve the data storage management problems.Nowadays, although some large companies have already provided cloud computing storage service as a storage system which can store and manage the data for the enterprise customers, there are still many shortcomings, such as the immature client of the storage system and the low efficiency of the data access concurrency, these shortcomings reduce the availability and reliability of the storage system in significant measure, and they became the major problems during the applied process of the enterprise storage management system.The client software mentioned in this article is graphical user interface software, which based on the distributed storage management prototype system. The distributed storage management prototype system is based on the Walrus cloud storage service and Ceph distributed file system, it solves the single point of storage services and improves the system's mass data access performance, and the client software achieves a simple and reliable operations.There are two aspects of the author's main work, on the one hand the author participated the research of the cloud storage services and distributed file systems. On the other hand the author designed the graphical client software by graphical user interface technology of Java so that it can make a good user experience for all users. The graphical client software provides users with more convenient simple data storage management operations instead of the difficult to understand or remember and complex character command.This part of the work is the most important of the author's working.According to the requirements for the client of the distributed storage management prototype system, this paper analysed the client's functional and non functional requirements, detailed the specific development process of the user login management module, the directory management module and document management module, and then analysed the superiority of the client software by testing the client's performance and function operation.During the time of temporary use of this client, the client showed an intuitive data interface, all the operations of this client were reliability and openness, each function could almost achieve the goal as expected, and it provided users with good user experience.
