| With the rapid development of sensor technology, radio communication technology and computer network technology, a new type of communication technology which is called wireless sensor network (WSN) comes out. As its distinct characteristics of large scale, self-organization, small volume, wireless and low cost, WSN is usually applied to the tasks of target monitoring and data acquisition and processing. In recent years, the technology of WSN has developed so quickly that the range of its application became wider and wider:from the military and environmental monitoring field in earlier years to the various aspects of daily life now. Meanwhile, accompanied by the development of multimedia and similar technology, it has set new demands for the real-time performance and reliability of WSN. Therefore, how to provide with QoS guarantee for WSN with limited resources is a key problem to be solved urgently.First of all, this thesis simply describes the basic concepts of WSN. Secondly, by referring to the existed approaches at home and abroad, this thesis discusses the relative problems about routing technology in WSN based on QoS constraints. The main items of this thesis are as follows:(1) This thesis analyzes the distinctive features and design objective of QoS routing technology in WSN, and makes a discussion on the aspects of the selection and evaluation methods of QoS parameters, the design concept of QoS routing policy and so on. In addition, it compares and analyzes the advantages and disadvantages, as well as suitable scope of the existed WSN routing protocols provided by QoS guarantee.(2) Assisted with clustering routing mechanism, this thesis researches on the routing technology in WSN based on energy constraint and then supposes a new WSN routing protocol based on energy constraint called LEACH-AD. This protocol can balance the network load and satisfy the requirement of energy and prolong the network lifetime by improving cluster-formation algorithm and the way of data transmitting. Finally, with simulation experiment, the thesis compares the corresponding aspects of LEACH-AD, LEACH and LEACH-C.(3) In view of the requirements of QoS constraints in WSN with limited resources, the thesis puts forward a new routing protocol based on QoS constraints called GA-QoS. This new protocol can not only, on the condition that the QoS requirements are all satisfied, realize the router discovery algorithm for the minimum energy consumption, but also balance the network load by sensor nodes selection and scheduling mechanism.
