| With rapid development of fiber-optic communication system, network capacity and transmission performance is much concerned. Optical fiber is used as the transmission medium in Optical fiber communication system. Through transforming optic to electronic, optic is used to transmit information. The most basic optical fiber communication system consists of the data source, optic transmitter and receiver, and optical channel. In order to increase the network capacity, many multiplexing methods are used, such as space, time and frequency multiplexing technology.Deterioration caused by optic polarization mode dispersion (PMD) in long-distance transmission is also much concerned. Some key technologies in optical communication system are discussed in this paper.They are as following.1, DWDM technology can be used for expanding optical communication system capacity, OSC optical monitoring channel is the information carrier of DWDM system working state. Based on OSC intelligent adapting equipmet, OSC data scrambling and descrambling has been studied this paper. The equipment has been used in practical system. The performance is exellent, and woked stably.2, Microcontroller system was developed, which had a serial port for debugging, LCD module control, and I2C bus control function. The system was used in optic transceiver module detection system. The function of the system can be realized, and the performace is good.3, PMD compensation prototype system in the optical fiber communication system was realized. The polarization mode dispersion has been studied, the bottom plate of the system which including power and subsystem connection are elaborated in detail in this paper. The equipment can realize rapid search whose time is less than 10ms, and rapid tracking polarization. The polarization can be compensated rapidly. |
