With the rapid development of the mobile market, processing power and storage capacity on the mobile terminal are increasing, and the services and data types that are supported by the mobile terminal are constantly increasing. The mobile terminals are gradually becoming the most important data warehouse of users. Mobile devices have more and more personal information, including photos, short messages, e-mail, calendars and contacts. Therefore, how to effectively manage and retrieve large amount of personal data becomes particularly important. At the same time, the search engine technology moves from the Internet and PC to mobile terminals, and it has obtained a rapid promotion. So according to the characteristics of mobile terminals and user demands, rapid retrieval to the user data on mobile devices has become a focus in the industry.In the context, this thesis designs Kaleido Photo Hyper Photo Link System. It is a mobile terminal-based search engine system and has been well implemented in the mobile terminal by using the popular search engine framework CLucene. Users can enter the system through the photo, and search other important information related with the photo.In this thesis, firstly the related technologies with Kaleido Photo Hyper Photo Link System are introduced, including CLucene search engine framework, indexing and scoring. Secondly, the thesis shows the demand analysis of system, and describes the appropriate hardware and software environments. Thirdly, on the basis of demand analysis, system architecture design is proposed, including the detailed design of data retrieval core sub-system. And then data retrieval core sub-system is implemented due to the system design. Finally, through analyzing the result of the system test, the functions of the system is validated, and it is proven that the function and performance of the system meet the design requirements.In the end, the summary of the whole thesis, current shortcomings of the system and future work are given. Also, the summary of my work and research progress during master-degree study are described.
