Research On Service Discovery Protcol In Mobile Ad Hoc Network

With the constant study of mobile ad hoc network, almost all aspects of applications has greatly developed. Mobile ad hoc netwoks play a big role in a lot of areas, such as mobile conference, home applications, emergence services, sensor networks, personal area network, military radio communication and so on. Topology structure of mobile ad hoc networks changes dynamically, so some strategy is necessary to discover available services timely and efficiently.This paper mainly study how to find service in mobile ad hoc networks. In consideration of the shared characters that mobile ad hoc networks don't have any infrastructure, central sink, and is dynamic, resource-constrained, this paper present a cross-layer design method which combines the upper service discovery mechanism and the routing protocols and routing mechanism closely related to the physical topology, use the active service discovery mechanism to discovery the necessary service. Service selection could select the optimal service. When the existing path become disconnected, it would adopt the re-evaluation mechanism to re-discover and re-select the alternative service provider.According to simulation and verification by NS2, cross-layer service discovery protocol can reduce unnecessary control overhead compared to layer service discovery protocol. Service selection can optimize the network throughput, enjoy the longer service. Re-evaluation mechanism can discover available services timely and efficiently after the current path break off.
