Design And Implementation Of DHL Exportcustoms Clearance System In Shanghai Port

In recent years, the import and export trade continuously increases with China's accession to the WTO. The speed and efficiency of customs clearance have become one measure to improve enterprise services, enhance the partnership and establish a good corporate image. The DHL, as the leader of express and logistics industry, improving the efficiency of customs clearance in all ports and reducing customs clearance time have become one of the problems urgently solved. A customs clearance system, which is modern and consistent with the actual situation of China Customs, can achieve this purpose. Also, it can reduce intermediate operational links and develop the whole business chain very well. This paper firstly discusses the background issues, the basic concepts of customs clearance for export, the processes and its system of customs clearance for export. Also, it introduces the basic concepts of J2EE, the hierarchical structure of software and the lightweight open source frameworkbased on J2EE.On this basis, the author elaborates the project of developing DHL Shanghai Port export customs clearance system which he fully participated in and focuses on the specific implementation of the main modules of electronic data interchange (EDI). Through the introduction of the operational framework of the entire system, the author, based on Struts+Spring+Hibernate, analysis the system framework model of the multi-layer structure of customs clearance software platforms. Also, the author probes into the integration of open source frameworkand the process and services of software layer in every stage.Having a certain understanding of system framework, the author states the system demands, the design principles and ideas, the developing process and methods, the project management process of the DHL Shanghai Port export customs clearance which he engaged in.Firstly, starting from the system demands, this paper specifically expounds the overall process and design principles of DHL Shanghai Service export customs clearance. Secondly, this paper states the software hierarchical structure of modules, the specific implementation of all levels and the design of the related table, and the relationship between tables. Also, it expounds the module design principles of the electronic data interchange (EDI), the data management, the electronic data declaration, the receipt of the goods in the warehouse from electronic port center, the generating and printing of express list, etc. Thirdly, the author gives the results of the practical test of the module and integrates the E-Port data management center with Customs clearance management system. Finally, the author gives a more specific project implementation plan for the whole project system. Meanwhile, he gives a comprehensive introduction about the staff arrangements, the project progress, the team composition and its responsibilities, knowledge transferring and systems training.At present, DHL Shanghai Port export customs clearance system has been put into use properly. Also, it operates normally and meets the project design requirement and receives the customer's high praise.
