Research And Implementation Of Key Algorithms Of EDGE And HSUPA In TD-SCDMA/GSM Dual Mode Terminal RF Conformance Test

For the time being, the commercialization in China of TD-SCDMA is carrying out in full swing. As an integral part of the TD-SCDMA industry chain, TD-SCDMA terminal one-box test set, the demand of which is growing larger and larger, has been applied in the UE design, production and certification tests for Network Accessing License.With the whole process of theoretical research, algorithm design, coding and integrated debugging, the aims are achieved, that are the implementation of EDGE modulation accuracy measurement and the function enhancement of HSUPA terminal RF conformance test. The main contents of this thesis are organized as following:1. At the beginning of the thesis, the significance of terminal RF conformance test in telecommunication industry development is stated, as well as the test cases of TD-SCDMA terminal RF conformance test set.2. The implementation of EDGE modulation accuracy measurement is discussed in details. The measurement procedure and algorithms of test criteria are proposed. Then, new algorithms are stated to improve the performance of 8PSK demodulation and EVM calculation. With all the results, a best fitted algorithm has been formed with good anti-frequency-shift performance, low measurement uncertainty and minimum computation.3. The methods and requirements provided by TD-HSUPA specification are analyzed, after the new features of TD-HSUPA being mentioned. The implementation procedures of TD-HSUPA RF conformance test cases are also displayed.4. In the end, the whole thesis is concluded. The prospect of RF conformance tests and subsequent challenge to the test instrument manufacturers are expected.All the achievements in this thesis have been successfully implemented in terminal RF conformance test set and utilized in plenty of terminal companies, certification institutions as well as venders.
