Steel tubes as an important tool for energy exchange and material transport, has been widely used in petrochemical, metallurgy, city water and heating piping supplies, and other industries. However, most of pipes are working in high temperature, high pressure or humidity or other harsh environment, there are easily defected under the action of external forces and corrosion, leading to accidents, so the regular pipeline safety testing and diagnosis is an important guarantee for transportation.Now current testing system for steel tubes has many deficiencies, most of the testing system based on PC is inconvenient for taking, don't rely on PC-systems are often too simple to meet the practical requirement. Magnetic leakage testing method as an important non-destructive testing methods, its testing fast, having a wide range, high sensitivity and low cost, has been widely used in the detection of Steel tubes defects. Therefore, this paper Propose used C8051F020 MCU as the core of the portable magnetic leakage detector design.First, this paper briefly introduces the basic principle and method in steel tubes non-destructive testing, combined with practical requirements, the paper introduces the micro-controller as the core of the portable magnetic leakage detector system. The system has low power consumption, high accuracy, easy to carry and so on.Later, this paper introduces the whole function and design, pointed out that the system consists of magnetic leakage signal acquisition, the system input and output, signal processing, data storage through the USB interface chip, among them, magnetic leakage sensor using coil sensor, a microprocessor using C8051F020 microcontroller, USB interface chip using constant Ltd. Nanjing Qin CH375.In the follow, this paper introduces the design of hardware and software in detail. The hardware circuit includes magnetic leakage testing circuit, the data storage circuit, the system input and output circuitry and power supply circuit. For each hardware module, design the corresponding software programs. Finally realized the magnetic leakage signal acquisition, signal waveform real-time display and storage, and found defects system will in the alarm.Finally, the paper summarizes the work and introduces the prospect of the system in the future...
