In recent years, the global economic is integrated, the science and technology development rapidly. In this era background, the food supply chain enterprise's mode of production and living environment has changed very much, and the ability of enterprise to gain profit rise further, but the food safety problems are not decreased with the development of technology but instead has intensified. While, the current food quality management system ISO 9000 and HACCP are limited to the organization internal, and can't make supply chain organizations share the quality information. In addition, the quality problems in the process of food production can not be diagnosed automatically either. Therefore, they can't guarantee the problems be diagnosed and controlled in the shortest time. However, the characteristic that each organization in food chain completes the production jointly determines that the organization in supply chain cooperate to improve food qualities detection further. This thesis's destination is modeling food supply chain quality monitoring based on Agent, which has autonomy, coordination and intelligent characteristics, to solve the above problems existed.Since the 1990s, the research on Agent and the Multi-Agent technology becomes the focus for people gradually. Multi-Agent technology is an important branch and a developing direction in the field of artificial intelligence.The feature of initiative, dynamic, real-time and operability etc is the significant character of modeling method based on Agent, which provides the new methods and ideas for people to understand complex system. Specific research work includes following aspects:Firstly, this thesis introduces the research situation, technology definition, characteristic and application field about Agent, and analyses the Multi-Agent technology. This thesis discusses several kinds of communication in Multi-Agent system, introduces the Agent communication language KQML and specifications of KQML information. In addition, this thesis mainly introduces the modeling thought, method and procedure based on Agent.Secondly, according to methods and steps of Agent modeling, this thesis constructs the process model and layer model of supply chain quality monitoring in Agent-oriented method based on the analysis of the characteristics of Agent technology and system structure. The thesis decomposes the system with 6 layers, describes and designs each layer particularly in the system, shows the sequence diagram and deployment diagram in the end. In addition, the thesis describes core Agent and the communication between them with Agent formal languages and Agent communication language.This thesis, which applies Agent, Multi-Agent theory and modeling technology in food supply chain quality monitoring system, has certain practical significance both for food supply chain quality monitoring or application and development aspects about agent technology.
