Designing And Development Of Database System In Substituting Toxic And Hazardous Material

The green revolution is one of the topics on development strategy of china and even all over the world. Its central subject is to curb, control and prevent the environmental pollution, to ensure human live in a high quality living environment and to construct a long-term development space in order to realize the sustainable development. But with the fast development of social economy, the extensive use of material containing toxic and harmful substance doing damage on ecological environment and human health is more and more serious.In recent years, the number of the people who have occupational disease caused by contacting the toxic chemical substances in the production process and the number of the dead people caused by accidents such as production safety and fire accident has increased sharply. The events that the chemicals from home decoration and automotive upholstery dose damage to human health have been reported repeatedly. The events such as the Sudan red event, the Melamine event and the aromatic amine dyes have caused extensive attention of the whole society. The use of material containing toxic and harmful substance not only does damage to the life and health of the producers and the direct contacts, but also causes more extensive and long-term damage indirectly through polluting the air, destroying the water and soil etc.. It has become a huge barrier to realize the sustainable development.At present, there are only six databases relative to toxic and harmful substance during the domestic and foreign existing 27 Material Chemistry and 51 Environmental Chemistry databases. However, there are partial data about the toxic and harmful substance and there is completely no direct information about alternative toxic and harmful materials. It is difficult to obtain the complete information about kinds of alternative toxic and harmful materials from these databases. The specialized database about alternative toxic and harmful material needs to be constructed as soon as possible. Therefore, the key of this paper is how to establish a specialized database about alternative toxic and harmful substance which has complete information and can be inquired conveniently and fast.The development of the alternative toxic and harmful substance database will use the JSP technology for realizing database remote maintenance tool, Microsoft SQL server 2000 as database management system, Windows XP as operating system, Tomcat as application server, MyEclipse as development tools, Dreamweaver for layout using Photoshop to page layout, Photoshop for page design. The database will use parallel technology to solve mass data storage capacity and query efficiency problem,support rapid, expert, combination, classification 4 retrieval methods. With the emergence of new materials and materials further refinement, the retrieval methods of the system will expand. The system is extensible. The useful knowledge can be found in the mass material and alternative databases. The system has the inteligent miner scoring.Alternative toxic and harmful material database will be the first professional database about alternative toxic and harmful material industry under the background of green chemistry in the world, with full proprietary intellectual property rights. And along with the global propulsion of the consciousness of ecological environment protection, the database itself has important scientific significance and commercial value. It not only provides the direct guidance and help for the r&d of substitution materials and relative industries, but also provides the basis for the policy setting of plan, economy and trade department of the country.
