Shaftless driven machine is the development trend of modern wallpaper printing business due to its excellent performance in simplified structure,wide gear ratio,high speed and precision etc. We have carried in-depth research on the control system of the shaftless printing machine.First of all, the principles and characteristics of the shaftless printing machine are introduced. Combined with the requirements and difficulties of the control system, the overall architecture of the control system is proposed. Then we discussed the synthetic contorl strategy of servo axes and tension control of winder and unwinder in shaftless printing machine. In aspect of tension control in winder and unwinder, we choose the dancer roll angle position detection as the detection element of the colosed-loop tension control system. The synthetic structure of our system is parallel gearing mode based on fixed-value. The auto-tuning Fuzzy-PID compensation method using the difference between given speed and feedback speed was adopted to increase the following perfomance and synchronous precison.The control system is composed of Siemens Simotion D445, Simatic S7-300 PLC. The Profis-DP protocol, MPI protocol and Drive_CliQ protocol are employed to set up a motion control network. The hardware configuration, network configuration and program developments are describled in detail. Finally, system debug process and operation results are shown.The control system of shaftless printing machine has been running steadily for about six months. Its printing was accurate and high speed, operations showed a good result.
