A Research On The Reform Of Management Mode Of Authority's Archives In China

The Authority archives is a mode adopted by the authority in archives management. This paper aims at discussing the reform of management mode of authority's archives in Party and Government Organizations.There are three forms of current management mode of authority's archives in China, the first one is Authority archives, the second one is archival repository, and the third one is Professional archives. All of them have been adopted since the 1950s, among which the form of Authority archives ranks as the most prevalent and extensive.With the development of the Times, the existing authority file management mode can not adapt to the development of the demand of the new era due to their limits. Facing the pressure from the government, society and departments of file management, a reform is imperative.Since the first establishment of China's first organ document management center in the western district of Beijing in 2001, the exploration of authority file management mode reform in China has entered another stage, with certain achievements obtained .But it can be noticed that the range of Reform in this stage is not wide, so it is still a long way to go.This paper analyzes and collates the modes that have been adopted domestic and overseas such as Joint archives, Authorities document management center, mode of Hexian County in Anhui province and US document centre, and summarizes the advantages of these modes, experiences gained during the reform and the current deficiencies so as to put forward suggestions on the future practice of reform of authority's archives management mode in China.In the last part, this paper puts forward thoughts and outlooks on how to use the management centre of authority's archives flexibly on the basis of summarizing the gain and loss of these modes and by taking into account the difficult situation of management mode of authority's archives and the requirements they face.
