| In the times of occurring public crisis frequently, the rise of new media technology provides a new wide world for information communication. The new media brings hope to crisis handling but will also lead to more probabilities of public crisis exacerbation. The traditional media and new media exist interlaced in such a complex media environment.Firstly, this subject study defined terms of new media and public crisis by adding the outdoor new media which has been rarely researched as a new media form before into the crisis communication media.Secondly, under the new media environment, this article applied communication science, sociology and other relevant theories to draw the communication model charts of traditional media and new media, combined setting a large number of examples of public crisis to analyze the the angles of different participants of tradition media and new media to public crisis communication. Then, the article revealed out the advantages and disadvantages of the two media by comparing their applications, communication procedure and the angles'functions of participation in the communication procedure.Thirdly, the congenital defect and a part of communication mechanism of traditional media in the complex media environment can't meet demands of audience anymore. The applicabilities of traditional classical dissemination theories such as agenda-setting, opinion leaders and spiral of silence have already changed under the new media environment, but still can be used to guide the public opinion.Finally, through above-mentioned comprehensive comparison, in order to solve the communication disadvantage of new media in the public crisis, from the angles of different participants, such as government, new media operators, media and audiences, we presented some strategies to standardize behaviors of new media communication, created a better public crisis communication effect by realizing contents sharing and resources complementation between traditional media and new media. |
