Products is the value fountain of the enterprise, he fountain lost, he life lost. Product management system and the degree of precision is the embodiment of the competitiveness of enterprise, good product management is the real effective enterprise management. The production module of semiconductor manufacturing is"make-to-order"((based on a specially designed). Focus on customer's requirement, providing high-value product is base of the enterprise survival and development. However, the important feature of semiconductor products is Production flow is very complex, production cycle is long, but the product life cycle is very short. Sometimes, the product is still in design or just mass production phase, he market life cycle has ended, which may make big lost of the enterprise. Efficient R & D and production process is the important benchmark and model of successful semiconductor manufactory.So far, there is no complete product life cycle management theory of the semiconductor. I'm working in the enterprise resource management department of a well-know semiconductor manufactory. Base on this environment, also the needed of the work, I made the complete analysis of how to achieve efficient management of manufacturing process and research and development. Including the following key issues Points:1) How to connect the whole life cycle from R&D, manufacturing, until the mass sales?2) How to improve R & D capability and shorten the product development and production phase of the cycle?3) How to improve customer satisfaction and the sales forecast accuracy?4) How to achieve efficient product analysis; provide the fast and accurate information support for the enterprise decision making?With my half year's user study and analysis, I developed a solution of how to enhance the CRM capability, speedup the internal R&D, manufacturing and the sales process: semiconductor product life cycle management. Since my enterprise's ERP system is SAP- the perfect solution for the large manufactory with complete and integrated product line. Consider the situation of the current system structure, proposed to SAP ERP as the core framework base for the system restructuring and extension, and get user's agreement and support. On this basis, from the beginning of 2008 and last for about 2 years, I push this model implemented in the enterprise, including: the overall architecture design, R & D project management, customer relationship management, efficient semiconductor manufacturing supply chain management and business intelligence project implementation, and overall succeed released in early 2010. This innovative concept is as follows:1) Proposed project management for efficient management of semiconductor industry R & D, and as the main line of whole semiconductor product life cycle connection.2) Proposed SAP Business intelligence as the platform for whole semiconductor product life cycle of information collection and display, carry out technical R & D, product testing, sales records, the current customer orders, production planning and production status for the integrated analysis and management, to improve the enterprise capability of grasp the depth of products and technologies.3) Proposed an innovative idea of semiconductor BOM (bill of materials) establishment and maintenance, as a basis for efficient material requirements planning, greatly reducing the cycle time f company sales plans to produce shipments.4) Base on the collaboration information of semiconductor life cycle, achieved high quality customer relationship management.Early in 2010, the semiconductor product life cycle management was released base on SAP, after six months of practice and improvement, the improvement is as follows:1) Achieved the semiconductor product life cycle management, base on R&D project management; achieved the collaboration management of technology R&D. R & D projects implemented by semiconductor companies in the product life cycle management, and technology research and development, product testing, sales records, the current customer orders, production planning and production status for the integrated analysis and management. R & D efficiency is improved 10%, the corresponding cost is reduced by 13%.2) Production efficiency is improve, material absence ration greatly reduced of production and R&D. The stock index - stock/Quarterly revenue also decreased from 62% to 40%, indicating a great degree stocks decline that the benefits of an enterprise to save ten millions dollars in stock funds, the annual interest on bank loans saving is at least half a million dollars.3) Semi-annual customer sales forecast accuracy rate is up o 94% from 65%, master production scheduling and material requirements planning are also improved from semi-monthly to daily updated, the accuracy is also increased to 92%, is an important factor for the enterprise succeed improved production efficiency.4) Customer satisfaction rate increased from 65% to 86%, base on a recent customer survey.5) R & D, manufacturing, sales and other management improvement, making the first three quarters of 2010, sales increased by about 30% year on year, is expected to achieve in 2010 into profit for the first time since the last five years.From the efficiency overview of Semiconductor Product Lifecycle Management system implementation, this project is accounted to about 5% of 08, 09 annual financial investment, but make the other 95% investment get more 13% to 15% improvement, the system implementation of semiconductor product life cycle management is successful.This article make a valuable exploration for the development of China's semiconductor manufacturers, can be the reference as standard system construction.
