| In the complex manufacturing environment of wafer sorting, the most important target of production control is to meet the delivery request while keeping the maximum efficiency at the same time, and the work of production control is commonly comprised of delivery tracking, machine allocation, lot dispatching, machine efficiency tracking, efficiency improvement, etc. How to get these works done correctly, quickly and efficiently in the complex manufacturing environment is the primary problem for production control. To solve this problem, we need to integrate and analyze the data from manufacturing execution system and test data management system and provide automated solutions.This paper introduced the automated solution for production control and dispatching problems in wafer sorting. We developed the solutions for most of the daily works of production control. The solution was comprised of algorithms for manufacturing problems, method of data integration and the user interfaces. After implementing, the system covered over 80% of the daily work of production control people. With fine tuning in production environments, it remarkably improved the efficiency and capability of production control people. With standardized mode of communication and instruction, it efficiently reduced the rate of miss operation caused by communication problems. With the cooperation of manufacturing department, it succeeded to make an over 2% improvement of the key machines. |
