In container transportation, how to ensure the safety of the container is the primary problem. With the rapid development of modern logistics, this problem is all the more urgent and important. The traditional method is the installation of mechanical seal which can be used to verify the integrity of the container. However, the mechanical seal by manually operating, labor-intensive and the reliability is not high, is obviously incompatible with the development of modern container logistics.RFID technology is a non-contact automatic identification technology using wireless communication. RFID technology identifies automatically and can work in a variety of harsh environments. These two advantages of RFID technology make it suitable for the container logistics. Thus, by integrating the RFID technology into mechanical seal, a new generation of container seal - electronic seal is created, which all operations can be done automatically, avoiding the problems caused by manual operation.This thesis is about the development of an RFID-based container electronic seal and its read-write devices. First of all, the structure and work flow of container electronic seal monitoring system is analyzed. From this analysis, all the functional requirements of equipments can be obtained. And then by researching the communication protocol between these devices and information security, the overall design of electronic seal and its read-write devices is completed.In the implementation part, the hardware platform and software design is described respectively in this paper. In hardware platform part, the hardware architecture of each device, the structure of various hardware modules and their driver implementations are discussed. In software design part, ideas of software design, software architecture of each device, and concrete realization of the various software tasks are discussed.Finally, through the test of main technical parameters and functions, all the functions of container electronic seal and its read-write devices are realized and verified.
