With the rapid development of wireless communication technology and the growing popularity of smart mobile devices, the advantage of using mobile terminals (such as smart mobile phone, PDA etc.) to connect to the internet and exchanging data makes it more and more popular to mobile users. The traditional business model cannot meet the requirement of government and enterprises, to meet the needs of mobile office, the transplanting from traditional fixed office platform to mobile office platform has become an important issue, namely: (1) mobile office platform must be versatility, which means it must meet all the requirement of the users; (2) mobile office platform must be able to extract flexible data and mask data heterogeneity form the underlying business systems; (3) mobile office platform must ensure the security of both the system and the data transmission of the underlying business systems.View of the above questions, with the current more mature mobile middleware technology and security encryption technology, the paper will be mobile office platform versatility and security to do in-depth study.Firstly, to meet mobile platform's requirement of versatility, flexible data extraction and shielding heterogeneous database, the Universal Mobile Middleware design method is proposed in this paper, and the corresponding design model as well as its components'detailed design plan will be given. The data flow and algorithm of the key components will be researched and given.Secondly, to ensure the security of mobile office platform, a flexible component of encryption / decryption will be designed to flexibly encrypt / decrypt business documents. The design of the encryption / decryption component model will be given, and the detailed design of its various components is described in this paper. Combined with the current maturity of encryption algorithms, to design the different levels of data encryption process and implement algorithm.Finally, the adaptation layer, query components, packaging components and encryption / decryption components is realized in the universal mobile platform. With the assessment to a procurement management database system of a company, the validation of the proposed method will be testified.
