| With the transition of TV signal from analog SD to digital HD, flat-panel TV will inevitably replace CRT TV. The sheer number of sharply increasing flat-panel TV has imposed unprecedented pressure on domestic electric power and energy capacity. The technology of energy-saving is the solution to the energy shortage dilemma.What this thesis discusses is a part of the project'Energy Efficiency Standards for Flat-Panel TV'. Since several backlighting techniques are applied in producing LCD TV, different system of measurement and evaluation index is needed and its compatibility with legacy standards is taken into account. This thesis should solve these problems.This paper summarizes the development of flat-panel TV technology in China in the first place. The operating principles and characteristics of LCD TV are introduced. The difference between domestic and international method and evaluation index of energy standard is researched. Meantime the reason of domestic Efficiency Standards lag is pointed out.Test to compare different methods are carried out. Some valuable conclusions for engineering applications are obtained by analysis of the results. Then the major factor on LCD TV energy consumption is researched by studying the CCFL and LED backlight module driving circuit. Herewith the evaluation of two indices, namely power consumption and energy efficiency index are proposed. From the perspective of technical principle and rationality, the brightness test method is designed. The method of nine point's brightness is proposed. On the basis of the above research a complete experimental program is carried out. Through the appropriate modification of limit, the brightness experimental program is fully applicable to plasma TV.At present the energy efficiency standards for flat-panel TV has been released as a national mandatory requirement in December 2010. |
