Moving forward with the popularization of the universal computer network and the advance of informational construction, extensive government departments,companies, public institutions make use of the network to be in progress handling official business and communicate by network. Transmission coming to be in progress needing to pass a network in daily work, large amount of official document information and data, the email becomes one kind of very important application , which includes the information and sensitive data deals with many government public institution inter content, so much as national security and social stability. The most economical , effective method resolving the safe problem is to use the cipher technology. But the cipher technology is to have national boundary , if we need to achieve ensuring the using safety advantage of the organisation unit and the people ,must adopt the deciphering algorithm and the hardware cipher equipment approved by our country cryptography administrative department to build up the safety email system. But there have being existing a lot of risk in the common email system at present , once the security accident happens,it will bring great loss to the organization or people .This thesis starts exactly from the safety demand, having studied the email system relevance knowledg first, to know about the system frame , basal theory and safety demand, analyses safe email relevance protocols and standards at the same time,then having studied the cipher technology, especially including the PKI technology and USBKEY encrypting technology , deep analysis has been carried out to the system technology frame and the safety mechanism. On the basis , having designed the safety Email system based on PKI and USBKEY technology,the overall frame , USBKEY interface design , system administration pattern , mail encrypt detailed design and realization having been in progress such as deciphering , signature attestation to system. The thesis has carried out analysis on originally systematic security at last., and summed up the main work about this theis, then has brought forward the future prospect of the paper.The significance of this thesis lies in designing and realizing the safety email system based on PKI and USBKEY technology, both system function design and realization are based on the current commercial cipher products and arithmetic, have an effect to resolving an email privacy protection, data integrality,applicability, controllable nature and Non-reputation of the security problems , having realized the safety email system.
