Hardware Design And Validation For NAS Server Management Module Based On Gigabit Ethernet Switch

This paper mainly describes the hardware design and validation for NAS server management module based on BCM53115 and MCF5282. In the paper, it describes how to design the architecture of the management module and specifies the difficulty of hardware design through interface design, sequence design and PCB design. The paper also specifies the detail design procedure of initial and function test software, and designs the test solution for the management module. It mainly contains bring up test, functional test and signal integrity test. The function test also validates the Gigabit Ethernet function by SMART Bits device to ensure the reliability except using the test software to validate the basic function. In the end of the paper, it specifies the actual test data.
