The managing system of equipment maintenance has gone through two phases: Breakdown Maintenance (BM) and Time-Based Maintenance (TBM). And now the Condition Monitoring and Faults Diagnosis managing system of equipment maintenance is regarded more and more. Condition Monitoring and Faults Diagnosis is a rising integrative technology based on mechanical engineering, testing technique, signal disposal, computer applied technique, artificial intelligence etc. Signal managing is very important in Condition Monitoring and Faults Diagnosis.Large Database Based on Condition Monitoring and Faults Diagnosis that centered on database realize on-line and off-line system. Historical signal is trimmed and put into database in order to make it easy to lookup; the signal of temperature, pressure and librations is stored; large numbers of signal is stored, signal can be stored manually. Additionally, Large Database Based on Condition Monitoring and Faults Diagnosis contains equipment card, equipment managing, equipment maintenance and spare part table etc. This makes it convenient for company to manage equipment and also pave ways for intelligent maintenance.The background of this paper is Beijing Yanhua petrochemical company. Database managing and equipment managing is investigated. Firstly equipment maintenance system's change is introduced. Then basal knowledge of database: data file's organizing, connection database's theory, familiar database's comparing, Oracle database's frame, Oracle database's special manage, database's synchronously control is introduced. Then the design process of Large Database Based on Condition Monitoring and Faults Diagnosis: requirement analysis, concept frame design, logic design, physical design, other design is introduced. Lastly the frame of Large Database Based on Condition Monitoring and Faults Diagnosis: database's system frame and management is introduced. The design and development of Large Database Based on Condition Monitoring and Faults Diagnosis pave roads for predictive maintenance.
