Research Of The Crude Oil Water-Rate Measurement By γ-Ray

Multiphase flow is a typical and complex flow form in the natural world and theindustrial process, and it is ubiquitous in the process of oil extract and oil transfer. Inthe parameters of the multiphase flow, the detecting of phase volume fraction is a veryimportant issue that needs to be resolved but has not been resolved well in thepetroleum industry.The water containing detecting technology of crude oil by γ -ray adoptsnon-contacted measure, and overcomes the defects of contacted measure (the way ofelectric capacity,the way of short-wave absorber,the way of radio frequency and theway of quake density)and avoids the influence on the measurement precision of watercontaining that is caused by crude oil corrosion ,scale formation and paraffin deposit.As an advanced on-line dynamic detecting technology of water containing of crude oilbyγ -ray in the native country, it has a very extensive application.The task of this research is to apply the way of γ -ray measure to the phasevolume fraction of multiphase flow in the process of oil industry. The main researchwork exists in the following aspects:1,Put forward the idea of applying the γ -ray technique to measure the watercontaining of the crude oil, and introduce the research scheme and the problems to beresolved.2,On the basis of the comparison of the existing measurement ways of watercontaining of the crude oil, set up a system model of water containing measure ofcrude water by γ -ray.3,According to the measurement technology of multiphase and nuclear physics ,analyze and deduce the computing formula of the measurement system of watercontaining of crude oil by γ -ray.4,Combing the practice requirement of oil field and test function, applyingcomputer and communication technology, design hardware circuits ,data transmissionnetwork using serial communication (RS-485), and make far distance measurementand control come true.5,According to the functions of measurement system and computing formula,program the software of data collection, timer and data processing and system display.6,Design and set up a device of water containing measure of crude oil by γ -ray,complete parameter amending and experiments. The results of experiments show thatthis design scheme can put the measurement of water containing of crude oil intoeffect, and the precisions of the measurement meet the requirement of project.
