Research On Distributed Component Library System Framework

Although there are a few special component libraries on the Internet, the methodsof organizing these libraries are not consistent. A standard interface that helps to accessthese component libraries is necessary. Component library system framework indistributed environment is the focus of this paper.In this paper, a new self-define XML based description of component information,which can be used for the software reuse, is proposed. Using this way, variouscomponent descriptions can be translated into this general description of componentlibrary and stored in the component catalogue database, which can be seen as acomponent index. So the problem of accessing different component libraries can besolved, and it's easy for people and computer to comprehend the function ofcomponent.According to the character of this studying background, this thesis proposes adistributed component libraries system framework, which is based on lightweightdirectory access protocol (LDAP) and multi-agent technology. In this framework, theefficiency of component access is greatly improved by using directory servicetechnology and the problem that how to search component from special componentlibrary is solved effectively by using multi-agent technology and XML technologytogether. Finally, this thesis designs several important models by using J2EE platformto verify the feasibility of this system framework.
