Research And Implementation Of An ASP.NET Report System Based On Data Warehouse

With the leveling up of the application of the IT system, the focus when enterprise or organization implement IT to itself has been gradually shift to seeking the information that help to make the correct decisions among the business running process. And then Data Warehouse and OLAP technology emerges. Report, which is kind of carrier for presentation of batch information and data, is generally used to present the middle or final results that produced during running of the business. The inter change of information among the departments of the enterprise or organization usually use report as a communication tool. Therefore, report service is an essential feature when applying OLAP technology to an enterprise or organization.SQL Server Analysis Service is a Data Warehouse and OLAP tool set produced by Microsoft and ASP.NET is a Web application development framework based on IIS web server that is also a product of this company. Combined with the project of Economy and Financial Forecast and Forewarning System of Wu Han Branch of PBC (People's Bank of China), the thesis mainly discuss the methods that can be used in building ASP.NET report system in the Data Warehouse environment based on the Microsoft Analysis Server and ASP.NET technology.The paper firstly makes a brief introduction to the Data Warehouse theory, which includes the definition of Data Ware house, the model method when construct a Data Ware system etc. Then it discuses in detail in the methods that could be used in building a report system in web environment, and the presentation technologies of tabular and chart data in the ASP.NET are given. Finally, it presents an application of the questioned method through detailed discussion of realization of the report sub-system of the Economy and Financial Forecast and Forewarning System of Wuhan Branch of PBC. Also, it gives a solution to question of fact data import and export.
