| The recently-emerged financial media, including financial newspapers and magazines, are really a spectacular scenario in China's media market. With their market-oriented operation and professional reports, these newly-rising financial media seize their readers rapidly and therefore acquire great influence in China's economic fields. While at the same time, they also face many choke points in their development.The Caijing Magazine is a famous financial magazine in China. It is widely recognized as a pioneer and a leader among China's financial media. During these years, following the professional spirit of journalism, the Caijing Magazine tries its best to feed its readers with high-level reports. It made great successes, both in profits and influences, which widely reach China's economic fields, capital market and decision makers in government.This thesis aims to study on the Cajing Magazine in detail, trying to explain what kinds of factors can be attributed to its successes, introducing some of its experiences in practice, and analyzing its fundamental advantages comparing with other financial media. The latter may learn much from the Caijing Magazine's practices.The thesis is composed of five parts. The first one introduces the Caijing Magazine and its development. The second one focuses on analyzing the Caijing Magazine's professional spirit of journalism. The third part tries to analyze its reports as well as their characteristics. Then the fourth part presents the commercial operation of the Cajing Magazine, including its advertisement and circulation. Finally, the fifth part makes a conclusion that professionalism attributes most to the Cajing Magazine's successes. |
