Unlike traditional 3D computer graphics in which 3D geometry of the scene is known, image-based rendering techniques render novel views directly from input images. Practical IBR system usually uses graphics information more or less. The continuum between images and geometry used in image-based rendering techniques suggests that image-based rendering with traditional 3D graphics can be united in a joint image and geometry space.In image-based panorama navigation applied to WAN, since the data dimension of panorama image is very large, the long loading time of the image become a bottleneck of real-time navigation of panorama. This paper abstract describing information from single point virtual scene and implements a B/S mode panoramic virtual scene navigation system with VRML. Utilizing distributed Web servers to accelerate the load of the panorama, which provide a better support for real-time navigation in the virtual environment.It is very difficult to take picture and the picture taken is distorted when constructing a narrow space using panorama. This paper integrates the Image-based rendering method and Graphics-based rendering to render indoor virtual environment. It first augments the MFC and integrates it with graphics interface OpenGL to support graphics, image system and animation system; It applies environment mapping to the real world: it gives the constraint of taking picture and makes the pictures environment map to describe a virtual room and further more describe the virtual indoor environment. Since the virtual indoor environment can only describe part of the environment and it still needs some interactive property, system provides the function of import of 3D model: import static or animated 3D model in some formats to add interactivity of virtual environment.At last this paper import the term of time and provide real-time and unreal-time render ways to deal with different demands. Through simple modeling, multiple mapping ways and import 3D model to describe large-scale indoor environment, this paper presents a practical, real-time virtual scene construction system.
