| Video stylization is an import branch of non-photorealistic rendering with good applied foreground. Being different from traditional photorealistic rendering, non-photorealistic rendering pays more attention to abstract the real scene, which makes the information with importance more striking. As replay of real scene, video has been applied in most fields of our life. With the rapid development of Internet, video plays a more important role in human communication. To a certain extent, stylization of video has applied to movie, TV and video games. However, because of the complicated algorithm, its speed doesn't meet the demand of run time. So stylization has not been applied to people's video communication. Since the popularization of personal computer and the requirement of the rapidly growing PC games, the computing capability of graphics equipment (graphics card) in personal computers has reached a much high level. Scientists have tried to carry out some general purpose computation with GPU (graphics process unit) in graphics card, which is designed for computation and rendering in 3D graphics.This paper presents an approach of video stylization with help of the powerful computation capability of GPU and also implements a small system of video stylization. As the algorithm is described in Effect script of DirectGraphics, it is easy to be modified and extended. Besides doing stylization on video in file system or from video input devices, being integrated with other video software, the system can send the stylized video out through network, and display the video to the others. |
