| The detecting technology is the base of industrial automation. Vision detecting has standing out strongpoint such as non-contacting, flexibility, high-efficiency. It has become the most potential technology in the field of precise testing. Vision detecting was applied to the procedure of dialgauge inspection. Researching dialgauge inspection system which based on vision detecting technology could improve production efficiency and satisfy the require of manufacturing automation .Firstly, the paper describes the structure of the system and the choice of hardware .The context included as follows:1 In order to improve the testing efficiency, synchrony-running mode was adopted between movement unit and image processing2 according to the request of the precision of dialgauge inspection, the hardware system was designedSecondly, the realization of the system was introduced: the serial communication between computer and movement unit, structure of software, the character of development on Meteor II image collection clip, working sequence. Then, the steps of image processing to gain the parameter of line was described in detail: adopting median filter after comparing two method of filter, choosing threshold value in binary converting, image Boolean calculation, quick thinning, line extracting . At last, the method of verifying the system is present and result shows the system meets the requirements of application.Based on thorough analyzing system error, combining with the actual system, further researching about other image processing method is described: accustomed method in edge detection was compared in the paper.
