The mould base is the important component of mould. Owing to the customization ordering and large daily orders, it is hard to deal with quotations manually for a mould base manufacturer. According to survey and study, the current mould base quotation generally exists great random, long quotation time and great inaccuracy etc. So how to make the quotation of mould base standardized and rationalized has increasingly become the joint concern for both producers and customers. With the rapid development of computer techniques and the improvement of the enterprise'management level, the requirement of adopting the computer to assist accurate quotation is very urgent. The paper analyses the concurrent quotation theory inland and overseas, the actuality of quotation business, the component of mould price, incorporates mould base quotation operation flow and characteristic, compares currently popular quotation theories and methods, and selects appropriate quotation method of mould base. Then the paper analyses enterprise's operation chain and investigates the operation management system of mould base quotation based on Web three-tier structure and key techniques, and finishes the whole system's design and empolders the main modules through combining the technology of network and database and operation management. This paper introduces the current popular B/S three-tier structure and classical technology of MVC design pattern on J2EE platform. The feasibility and rationality of the system was verified through an example. Last, A summing-up of research and development has been given, and an outlook for further investigation is presented. The system intellectualized and visualized the process of mould base quotation, and distributed the software. These disposals accord with the routine of mould base quotation process and the requirement of the fact,and the quotation result is believable to customers too.
