XML Security Middleware

With the development of global economy, more and more business enterprises start to use the E-commerce as the means of trade. But the electronic data exchange which is the main form of E-commerce, especially need the high safety of data exchange as protect Traditional EDI doesn't fit the requirement of the contemporary E-commerce, so it will be replace by the new data exchange based on Internet and XML. A series of web technical innovations and the extensive applications of middleware are trends in E-commerce technologies. In this paper, we construct a XML security middleware.Safety is the more important issue in E-commerce web service. The security middleware provides safe framework for the informational commutation in E-commerce. At persent, encrypting a complete XML document, testing its integrity, and confriming the authenticity of its sender is the same as any other types of document, which is a straightforward process. But it is increasingly necessary to these functions to parts of documents, to satisfy some special requirements.We study the combination of XML and middleware under the current the environments of Internet Then, we introduce the techniques of encryption and decryption, digital signature, authorization and related techniques. Based on the above analysis, we design and realize a XML security middleware using VS.NET which has good supports for XML. The system can operate any part of the XML documents, and perform encryption and decryption, digital signature, authorization in arbitrary sequences.
