Design And Implementation Of Access Pointer Controller (APC) In WLAN

With the development of 3G technology, new commercial mode of WLAN has emerged. The centralized architecture is coming into the mainstream of the operation and deployment of WLAN. Under this trend, intelligentized network configuration and management, and centralized user access management become the urgent problems in the development of WLAN. Studied the draft of LWAPP and some related protocols, this paper analyses the network architecture model of WLAN in details, and researches on the control and management of AP and the user access management in a centralized system. Based on the centralized network architecture and the"fat"AP mode in current market, this paper puts forward the design project of APC(Access Pointer Controller), and designs the resolution on intelligentized network deployment, automatic management and fault detection and recovery for controlled AP, and also implements the user access management policy in centralized network architecture. By now, the commercial product of APC has been accepted by market.
