The Testing Method And Implementation Of TD-SCDMA UTRAN O&M System

EMS(Element Management System) is an important part of telecommunication network, it is also an important method to assure telecommunication network to work normally, economically, efficiently, stably and safely. The EMS show the functions of equipment management directly. With the development of telecom, operators are improving their request on the quality of EMS. Testing is not only a key factor to verify the quality of EMS, but also a review of requirement analysis, designing and coding, so the research on test method for EMS is necessary.In terms of the present testing methodology and the characters of EMS,this paper presents a new approach to test an EMS both from a theoretical and practical view. This method is described by three periods, including OMC-R testing period, Element O&M testing period and system testing period. The emphasis of each period is the test method should be used. A test practice is also introduced which have been applied to an EMS ,TD-SCDMA UTRAN O&M System.
