| With the rapid growth of data services, more demands have been imposed on the bandwidth of optical networks and its infrastructure is bulging. Intensive DWDM system can save tremendous fiber resources as well as provide an effective means for transparent transportation on a huge capacity basis. Therefore, it has been experiencing amazing development and extensive applications over years. This thesis discusses phase III expansion of Guangxin Province's DWDM system based on Huawei's solutions. Specifically, we have gone through steps listed as follows: 1) Mathematically calculated the capacity of the DWDM system and built up a solid knowledge foundation for studying various parameters involved with the system. 2) Installed Dispersion Compensation Module at some of the office spots and upgraded the system capacity up to 400Gb/s. 3) Debugged all OTM stations online and provided capacity for 10Gb/s optical communication services. 4) Finished test of the project thus guaranteed service can be installed on the extended new platform. 5) Gave some of my insights and suggestions on future development of telecom transportation network. |
