Autonomic Computing aims to deal with the complexity of today's systems by letting the system handle the complexity autonomously. In this paper, technologies explored in some of the papers presented in this issue are introduced. Because all their works can't deal with the dynamic fuzzy attributes in autonomic computing systems, this paper tries using DFL (Dynamic Fuzzy Logic) to research autonomic computing. Our main work includes five aspects as follows:(1) The model of autonomic computing based on DFL is given. (2) Some issues about dependencies between entities in autonomic systems are discussed. (3) In order to make autonomic computing systems have the capability of decision-making, the algorithm for decision-making is designed. (4) The models of self-configuring and self-optimizing based on DFL are designed. (5) A system for autonomic applications management using the model of autonomic computing is realized.The main characteristic of this paper is introducing DFL into researching autonomic computing. It offsets the shortcoming of other theories used in studying autonomic computing, and gives people a new way for researching autonomic computing. Of course, our works are tentative, and them need advanced research.
