Design And Implementation Of Workflow Engine Midware

With the quick development of society, more and more computers are used in our daily life, so more works have to be done by computers. At the same time, social productivity has been developed very well, the work has been divided into more details, which need more workers finish together. Since 1990s, many research studios and companies focus on Workflow Management System (WfMS).The workflow engine is the kernel of Workflow Management System, which can drive the process instance base on process definition, and assign tasks to proper users or roles, and invoke other applications to finish task.Based on workflow engine's importance, this paper will use a new technique to implement workflow engine, which is workflow engine midware. This midware can easily support business control and scheduler, be easily re-implemented and reused by developers. At the same time it can shrink the software development cycle and enhance software productivity.We give it more consideration at re-implementing and reusing, when we design it circumspectly. Firstly, software developers can easily invoke external interfaces to control business logic. Secondly, internal engine modules can invoke others by interfaces, which make each loose modules be maintained and updated easily. Finally, this paper use .Net(c#) language to implement and test this workflow engine midware..
