Multi-Communication Types And Management Of BBS

Nowadays, network has become the first choice that more and more people get news and information. Among all the functions of network, BBS services as the concourse of on-line get-together. BBS has not only put important effects on people's lives and work, but also become a vital channel for the public to discuss the public events even to affect the real life.Although BBS is getting more and more important, there are a lot of shortages especially in its management. Therefore, it is essential to find out better approaches to manage it. Because the history of BBS is short, both the practical and academic researches are at the very beginning. The thesis aims at discussing the management of BBS by considering the both sides.The thesis points out that there are different communication types in BBS, including personal communication, group communication and mass communication. Furthermore, these communication types are not separate but combinative, which makes BBS multiplex. From this angle of view, the thesis points out there are many problems in the management of BBS. Firstly, personal communication is ignored so that the background of communication is weakened. Secondly, badly managing in group communication results in many isolators. Finally, not having mastered the unique characteristics of mass communication in BBS, rumor is diffused quickly.In order to deal with the shortages mentioned above, the thesis suggests considering the respective advantages of each communication type, such as using non-language symbols, strengthening group consciousness and improving the qualities of cyber-police, and so on.
