| With the rapid development of technology in Mobile Communications and Internet, especially the combination of digital technology with Network, it brings a great chance for the information industry. WAP has been a mainly protocol for mobile terminal in visiting wireless information service. It is the combination of a series of criterions, which works on the development of application on mobile network such as on Internet. Value-added service based on WAP will have a great development space. As the development of video coding technology, streaming media flat based on java and the emergence of intelligent terminal, there are some SPs supply video services for 2.5G cell phones with a low bitrate 28kbit/s. Howerver, for the limitation of the bandwith, the kinds of these services are few, and the service requests a high intelligent cell phone.According to the limitation described above, especially the limitation on the cell phone, this paper discusses a value-added service based on WAP which supplies realtime image browsing. It is an original value-added service. This paper has introduced the system model in details including the system structure, system principle and the realization of this system etc. The function of this system is sending images in which users interested to users'cell phone continually. It provides a realtime image browsing based on WAP. If a user's cell phone supports WAP, though this service, he can easily get some realtime image information that he wants, e.g. the condition of a highway, weather of a showplace such as Taishan Mountain and the children in the kindergarden etc. The realization of this system includes the establishment of the WAP flat, image capturing and processing and the image browing on the cell phone etc. This paper introduces these steps in details including the design and development of many... |
