Keeping the finance security is the important work of the country and government anytime. For reducing the crime and the normally work of social economy, the government and the financial world must spend a number of manpower, material resources and capital every year on the crime in finance field. Some measures taken already such as increasing safekeeping, purchasing more firmly car for transporting banknote, have taken some effect, but can't put an end to criminality drastically. Many violent cases have threatened the social safety greatly, such as bank robbing, money transport vehicles' seizing and kidnapping and so on. The criminal are so rampant is that their evil activities made the treasure that irregular became themselves in a night. Satisfy their extravagant spendness, but there is not any effective method stop it happening. Obviously, in their evil activities of rob, the robbers do not rob the new money especially that the numbers are successive. In the final analysis is that the banknotes arc easily to be tracked. If we make all of banknotes in the range of bank surveillance, that is, make cach banknote can be tracked whether it is new or old, successive or discontinuous, so the criminal have no chance to do it.So based on the exclusive characteristic of bank note number, memorizing the banknote number before putting the bank note into the storeroom to set up banknote record, simultaneity in the currency market offer equipment, which can automatically recognize the banknote number. At a result, if the current currency bank note number is accord with the lost, then restrict the use and it is propitious to the detection of hijacked accident.The RMB Number Recognition and Recordation System base on DSP researched by this paper is used to set up RMB number record for finance institution such as banks of our country. Due to the particularity of its application, the volume of the system is restricted seriously, as well as its cost, rate and stability must be enough to fill need.The RMB Number Recognition and Recordation System base on DSP is composed of three sections mainly, that is the acquiring of RMB number image, recognition processing of RMB number image, the transporting and storing of recognition result. The acquiring of RMBnumber is mainly composed of image sensor. The recognition processing of RMB number is completed by DSP. DSP, image sensor OV7620 adopted as core and digital video technology is used to complete the acquiring, recognition and transporting and storing of consecutive multi-frame image. In side of communications, asynchronous serial port is used to complete data communication with PC, and show the recognition result on PC.In this paper, the soft and ware design of RMB Number Recognition and Rccordation System base on DSP is completed mainly, as well as making circuit diagram and debugging except recognition algorithm. Integral notion of system design is brought out at the beginning of the text. Secondly, detail technical information of module design is narrated in each chapter. At last part of paper, some problems encountered in system debugging and method on resolving these problems are brought out, and some suggestions for system optimization arc also provided.
