Research And Implement Of Network Controller

Along with Internet development rapidly, problems of network security is increasingly paid attention to. Though products of network security such as firewall and virtual private network improve capability of network security to the extent, it is helpless for it to monitor and filter the transmitted contents. With widely applications of Web and E-mail, vicious mobile codes and E-mail virus are challenging network security. The importance of network content security is becoming more and more obviously.Based on those mentioned above, we developed the user management and controlling system. It can easily limit the users of LAN to access WWW and monitor actions of users'accessing WWW. The network controller is one important part of the user management and controlling system, it can filter and forward. The network controller effectively controls actions of users'accessing WWW by filtering and monitoring. In this way, we can obviously enhance security of LAN.In this paper, we firstly analyze system structures and working principles and functions of user management and controlling system. Secondly, we research some key technologies of network controlling deeply, such as packet filtering technology and content filtering technology. Finally, we design and implement the management and controlling software system of network controller and test it. The results are: the network controller can operate all the packets by filtering rules accurately (discard or forward), it can finish this quickly and rightly and manage users'accessing WWW well.
