As an important component of middleware platform of stock concentrative trade, cluster service should provide diverse functions, including topology management, failure monitoring and recovering, load balancing and etc., which gains high scalability, high reliability and high availability for the middleware.From the view of improving the adaptive ability of cluster service of the activity platform in stock concentrative trade system, this thesis introduces the design and implementation of which in particular. The cluster service is independent of the frame and realization of specific middleware, and provides service transparently.In order to meet the demand of high sporadic and high concentrative visiting in trade, cluster service should have some adaptive ability of self-configuration, self-optimization, self-recovery and self-protection. The thesis describes adaptive topology management and load monitoring, analyses adaptive load balancing in detail, presents the double-threshold load balance algorithm. To solve the potential problem raised from load thrashing, the thesis analyses the shortage of the load balancing algorithm and improves it.The experiment data confirms that the adaptive activity platform can satisfy the demand of high sporadic and high concentrative visiting in trade, enable user add server actively to enhance the performance of the activity platform linearly, then eliminate bottleneck of the platform in a way.
