According to the requirement of multi-wave seismic data interpretation, a man-machine interactive visual software system have been developed for multi-wave layer calibration, and solve the layer calibration problem of multi-wave seismic data interpretation. Based on QT3.1.2 development environment and combining with the OPENGL function library, the software system make full use of the multi-platform, multilingual advantage, achieve 2D/3D multi-wave & multi-log synthetic seismogram and its layer calibration ,and now provide different editions for SUN spec, RedHat7.3, RedHat9.0, Ms Windows etc. There are five main modules in the software. For instance: profile displaying module, wavelet extraction module, synthetic seismogram module, 2D and 3D layer calibration module. These five modules are close related and independent with each other, and show the entire process of multi-wave & multi-log calibration from wavelet extraction to synthetic seismogram then to layer calibration. The system can accurately mark the corresponding relations between multi-wave seismic profile and geological layer location, at the same time make up the disadvantage of similar type of traditional software which only apply to P wave, and establish a foundation for further multi-wave seismic data interpretation. In software development process, a series of methods are summed up, such as multi-platform hybrid language programming and effectively combining QT—a cross-platform user interface design tool with OPENGL— a powerful plot library. Through theoretical data testing, the paper have testified the validity of multi-wave & multi-domain synthetic seismogram method and the rationality of the software design, and have achieved...
