With the development of Internet technology, the copyright of many types of multimedia works can't be protected effectively. Under this condition, watermarking technology, the information security technology protects the copyright effectively, comes up into being.This paper verifies three characteristics of chaotic system, put chaotic system into the pretreatment of the image watermarking. Through disturb image pixels and alter pixel value enhance the security of image watermarking. There are few criteria to exactly measure the merits and demerits of these methods. Based on the relation of image's pixel, in this paper we put forward a new criterion to formulate the effect of existent enciphering methods. Experiments show that this criterion can also be used to measure the relationship between the enciphering effect and the number of iterations in the enciphering techniques. A blind image watermarking method has been proposed in this paper based on the features of human visual system and chaos theory. Experiment results show that this method is valid when add blocking partition idea to the embed process. Conclusion from analysis and experiments shows that algorithm prevent some operations effectively. So that digital watermarking algorithm based on chaos can protect the copyright effectively. In the end of the paper, a summary of my work and future direction of the research are given.
