The Design Of Automatic Software Test System Based On Software Lifecycle

Automatic software test is the trend of software test technology.If automatic test is applied rightly and reasonably,software can be tested fully and rapidly, the quality of sofrware can be improved ,the cost and design time can be reduced. Some misunderstandings about automatic test are discussed in this paper,including test-plan,test-model,test-flow,test-description,test-script,test-tool,bug-management, work-arrangement.The theory is applied into the test of National Shortwave Monitor Network System.The design does not focus on only one test-model,but collect the advantages of many models.The W-model is acted as the main model,and the independent theoy of H-model acted as the reinforcement.In order to finish the test-object,the test is runned interactively when the development catch the ready-point.The principles of testing early,testing fully,coverage testing,testing independently and interactively are introduced.By doing this the test effect is improved.With the software lifecycle proceeding,test tools are applied gradually.CVS is test assistant tool,which is introduced to set up source version and do daily-construction.TestDirector is introduced to control the test process systematically, to set up the test structure and base, then the test management become simple and organized.WinRunner is introduced to do function test by repeating manual operation with test scripts.
