| In recent years, because of the fast development of Internet applications, the throughput of network flow was increased quickly. Especially, the Router was overload since the number of network customers increasingand became the bottleneck of the network speed. To the next generation of high-speed Router , the rapit IP addresses search mechanism will be critical influences its efficiency necessarily, especially when we transform gradually from IPv4 to IPv6. However because of IPv6 has increased the length of address, the cost of processing was high for the Router and the Router must have high performance,. Many algorithms for IPv4 which were used currently have no way to support IPv6 yet or it have the way to support IPv6 but it's efficiency is not very good while the cost is very high. This articleproposed a set of rapit IP addresses search mechanism for IPv6. We analysised the IPv6's routing data from 6Bone Netword and then according to the analysis data and the frequency of searching, the IPv6 addresses was divided into a few blocks and was processed and optimized differently in order to search fast. This method can make router increase the speed of processing message packages, promoting the network speed and implementation more simply and easily.This paper introduced the background of research and the main influence of the effect upon the framework network of the router, and the significance of the rapit IP addresses search algorithm.
