Telecommunication Managerial Grid(TMN) And CORBA Technology Application

With the increasing requirement of the TMN (Telecommunication Network Management) system's scope and various services, distributed management system has become an important area. CORBA that is popular and strong is widely used in many research fields as a middle-ware technology. CORBA is an architecture for distributing and modeling computing applications. CORBA based network management is certainly an attractive approach. In the beginning of this thesis, we describe the conception, construction, and management functions of TMN,the basic technology of CORBA the standard of JIDM .Then, we pay attention to the Alarm Surveillance function, which is defined in ITU Rec.Q.821. And then we presents a model of Managed Objects as CORBA objects, and how CORBA services and facilities can be used to build management applications, including the using of orbix2000 that is a CORBA product.
