| Online cataloguing is the working of cataloguing which can carry out inputing bibliotheca data once at a single place and realize sharing bibliotheca data many times at different places. Nowadays, the existent online cataloguings are mainly one-to-more relationship, which is between cataloguing data service center and distributed users. The service center is based on catalogue database and uses MARC as the data standard. It provides remote users with MARC data query and downloading with the Z39.50 appropriative tramission searches protocal. It has three shortages: firstly, it has the deficiency which data centralized services bring; secondly, with the binding of z39.50, it has poor currency and complex technology; thirdly, it can not get through the firewall.First of all, analysing and studying the existent online cataloguing system realization, technology, traits, data coding and data tramission, and grounding on the primary online cataloguing system application demand, the thesis brings forward a catalogue scheme based on Web Service technology. Next, the system parses the catalogue format standard MARC and realises the transform between MARC and XML; it designs catalogue data service UDDI certre, MARC "data providers" service and "data users" client; it also realizes the register catalogue users to UDDI, query and "data providers" web data connection; it realizes the register "data providers" to UDDI center and information release. Lastly, the system uses SQL Server as database and is programmed with MS Visual Basic.NET as the development platform. The structure of this thesis as follows: In the chapter I,it puts forward the existential problems according to the present condition of the union catalog, and suggests the means of improvement; In the chapter II,according to pre-union catalog program and analyzing new Internet program structure, it targets function definition and professional procedures; In the chapter III, it makes a brief introduction of the MARC and Web Service as the thesis theory basic; In the chapter IV, it makes a detailed design of the union catalog on the base of the Web Service, including the professional procedures, program structure, mould... |
