The fundamental principle, history and category of the TEM cells(transversal electromagnetic transmission cell) is introduced in this paper. According to the study of the Triple-TEM cell (three polarizations transversal electromagnetic transmission cell) at our lab, I put forward some upswing idea, design and make a new abnormity Triple-TEM cell. At last, I test the abnormity Triple -TEM cell and prove that these idea is efficiency.The abnormity Triple-TEM cell has one more perpendicular inner electric septum than the traditional TEM cells. It is repeatable and low-cost because the EUT(equipment under testing) can be irradiated in three polarization directions without overturning.This paper include three parts: I use the finite element method(FEM) software---ANSYS to calculate the characteristic impedance;I design abnormity Triple TEM cell using the FEM program module which I empolder by the method of the second-development in ANSYS; I test the abnormity Triple-TEM cell's performance to validate the the above FEM program module's correctness.The frist part's main goal is to workout a visual FEM program module using the second-development of ANSYS. The program module includes 2-D and 3-D calculating the characteristic impedance and electric field distribution in the test field.The second part's main goal is to design and make a 4.0-meter-long abnormity Triple-TEM cell's main body,center board,hybrid broadband load,tie-in horn and axe-shape-block and etc.The third part's main goal is to test the abnormity Triple-TEM cell's performance, I test the abnormity Triple-TEM cell's characteristic impedance,VSWR(voltage station wave ratio) and field uniformity. The characteristic impedance of its main body is 49?~51? and the is voltage SWR less than 1.6 from 300kHz to 1GHz. At 30MHz and 150MHz, the one third area achieves the uniformity requirement; And at 600MHz, the uniform area is reduced.
