As a flat of supporting the implementation, operation and analysis for communication business area, the communication business system has become the central section of development of communication business area. Otherwise, it is also a project from the point of view of communication system operation department, there are the pressure of schedule and cost, they should search a balance point between schedule, cost and quality. So, it is critical technical issue for how to design test case for communication business system, how to optimize the size of test suite. At the same time, when we have thousands of functions and requirements in the communication business system, it is also issue which should be solved in the communication business system that how to find all system defects possibly in the term of limited schedule and resource.The technical of test suite reduction is one of the critical technical for producing the minimum test suite, furthest effectively testing software system, reducing the cost of software test and improving the effective of testing. But, it is a critical issue which is researched in this paper that how to implement the method of creating the minimum test suite to the communication business system based on the features, test goals and test requirements of communication business system. So, from the point of view of project practices, firstly we define the test scope and the design method of test case for communication business system by the experiences of practical test working based on the test goals of communication business system. Then, we further establish the procedures of creating the minimum test suite using risk analysis method for communication business system. At last, we define the method of creating the minimum test suite which is suit for communication business system, which is created by combining the method of the minimum test case for test requirements set with the method of risk analysis. The contents of this paper are included of:(1)Introduce the test requirement of communication business system, the current test status of communication business system and the current research of minimum test suite. Then, introduce the contents and structures of this paper.(2)Introduce the system functions and system implementation environment of BSS1.0.(3)Introduce the purpose and contents of system functional testing, define the test category for BSS 1.0 based on the test requirement of BSS1.0.(4)Introduce the basic designing methods of system test case, and the test case designing methods for BSS1.0 based on the test category of BSS1.0.(5)Introduce the definition and category of software risk, establish the risk assessment system for BSS1.0, and define the parameters and procedure of risk assessment based on the software risk assessment model.(6)Introduce the method of creating the minimum test suite based on the test requirements set, by combining the minimum test suite that is created by risk assessment system for BSS1.0, further optimize the method of creating the minimum test case, define the method of creating the minimum test case suitable for communication business system.
